How to Connect Google Home to Phone via Bluetooth
Just say “Hey Google, play some music” and tune in to your favourite playlist on Spotify or Pandora. You can just say “Hey Google, play my podcast” or “Hey Google, play my audiobook” and it will automatically begin playing the podcast or audiobook in your library. It is easy to pair your home mini with an existing speaker and works seamlessly without any special setup required.
In Google Home app, as shown below, tap Devices icon on the top right. But if you have a decent Bluetooth speaker, you may want to output sound to the Bluetooth speaker, instead of Google Home. In this case, Google Home speaker will be silenced except for Google Assistant feedback. Of course, you still use Google Assistant on Google Home, not on the Bluetooth speaker.
Can You Pair More than one Bluetooth Speaker?
The next time you ask Google Home to play your favorite song, the music should come through your paired Bluetooth speaker. More Google Assistant-specific commands like “what’s the weather? ” should come out of your Google Home speaker. Don’t forget that you still need to direct your voice commands to the actual smart speaker for any of this to work. After enabling the pairing mode using either of these methods, you can then connect the speaker to your smartphone just as you would with any other Bluetooth device. Simply look for the speaker in your device’s Bluetooth settings and pair it.
If the Bluetooth speaker or headphone isn’t compatible with multiple devices, be sure to keep your phone, tablet, or other electronic devices close by. After you make sure both your stationary or portable Bluetooth speaker is fully charged and on, it’s time to put them into pairing mode. You should then navigate into the device settings on your Google Home to access the Bluetooth settings. You can create the Group when the device is open and click on the Add button. The button is available on the Control Dock, which will be available on the home screen.

Tell Mini to set a timer while cooking or check traffic on the way to work. With Google Home Mini’s small and minimalistic design, it doesn’t matter where you place it.
